Arbatax is one of our gorgeous young stallions with the rare Weil-Marbach blood...
He was love at first sight when a good American friend sent photos and allowed us to import one of her Ansata Arabians to Switzerland...
He is Debbi LerMond's Ultimate Star resin and was immortalized by the talents of the one-and-only Faye Cohen, who painted, shod and haired him with mohair...
Arbatax's deep copper liver chestnut color shows beautiful dapples and discrete white markings and indicates he has the sabino gene...
He is the product of our extraordinary Dark Water and from our beautiful mare Reína Shardana...
The famous south-eastern red-cliffed coast of Sardinia bears his name... my father was born near there, in a mountain village near the Arbatax coast, famous for its' deep red rocks and cliffs, reminiscent of this colt's coat and hair... The name "arbatax" is believed to descend from the Arabic arba‘at ‘ashar (dialect form : arba‘ṭash), meaning "fourteen" and which could indicate the 14th watchtower - one of many, found on that coast and probably erected by the Spaniards to create a watch point to detect potential Arabian intruders...
As you can easily see from the photos, he carries the refined lines and beautiful characteristics of both his parents, featuring some of the finest Weil-Marbach, Russian and Egyptian Arabians in his exquisite pedigree...
Check out his pedigree and photos below :)
