Sirena cimina is Ouroboros' gorgeous Araloosa daughter... A striking deep shiny black like her dad, she sports some dark coppery areas and a beautiful immaculate spotless white snowcap on her, with white areas going down to her flanks and belly/groin area... The photos below contain some closeups of her markings, to show the intricate pattern she has... Like her mother Sa Jana Ichnussa, she is a wonderful tipey Araloosa, but with the striking black coloration of her sire Ouroboros... She is a very lively and proud filly who loves to show off her beautiful ample movements in the paddock :)
Sirena cimina is the lovely Arabian Yearling mold by the Peter Stone Company... I think it was sculpted for them by Hillary Hurley and is a very much loved mold in their line... This model is particularly precious because there were only 5 produced like it ! It was the 2009 judges' special for the Little Horses Live Show... We were able to trade this horse with an US collector :)
Sirena cimina is Italian for "Ciminian mermaid" (sirena = mermaid, syren). Like her sire Ouroboros, she was named after a mythical beast from the water, just like her sibling Ondíne... The "Monti Cimini" (Cimini Hills) are a range of densely wooded volcanic hills, about 35 miles north-west of Rome, Italy... They are in the center of the Etruscan area of Tuschia and name the entire region, renowned for its hot springs, Renaissance villas and Etruscan ruins, but mostly for the Sacred Woods / Monster Park of Bomarzo, which is our favorite place on earth ! Her name is of course also appropriate, due to her Italian-linked pedigree...
