Samouraï is our Asil stallion Ăl-ĭksīr's first colt. He has a very noble and interesting pedigree, descending from some of the finest Arabian lines.
Like his sire, he is grey, but turned white grey very early, without inheriting the fleabitten coat. His dam is our lovely chestnut rabicano Anthea, to whom this splendid colt is the first foal.
Samouraï has been named using the beautiful French spelling of those noble Far East warriors of Japan, whose name means "honor" and "serving". His coat is immaculate and beautiful like the finest oriental china.
We received him as a gift from a Swiss friend who sells Breyer modelhorses. The native style halter shown in the photos was handmade by our dear Finnish friend Lea Magga and was a surprise gift. We thought it would look truly regal and fitting for Samouraï :)
This is the rare "Sahran" model, in the "Ashquar" Breyer mold, sculpted by Brigitte Eberl of Germany, who is unparalleled for her lifelike Arabian and horse sculptures. "Sahran" was limited to 3000 pieces only, available exclusively in specific US stores.
Thank you to our friend Beatrice, for this wonderful gift and to Lea for the gogeous halter !
