Soleil de sable is the last foal by our retired Straight Egyptian stallion Candyman. He's as beautiful as his sire, with the same striking and refined SE characteristics.
When we purchased him and his sire from the breeder in the US, we were unable to purchase its dam, as well. We hope to be able to import her as well, which is why in the meantime, the foal is being looked after by a "nurse mare". It's a gorgeous bay mare named "À l'ombre des tilleuls", whom we received as a gift by our good friend Andréa Bhend, who owns some of the most beautiful Arabians in Switzerland. "Tilly" accepted the foal without issues and is a very sweet and caring "surrogate mom". She can be admired in the image gallery below.
This foal model is the Breyer Old Mold Proud Arabian Foal (PAF) in the classic nostalgic 1950s era glossy honey bay color known as "Shah", originally sculpted by Maureen Love for Hagen-Renaker... He came to us with his sire "Candyman". They are part of a set, issued in the late 1950s, that belonged to famous collector Karen Grimm, who passed away and whose collection was immense. It's a privilege to own these models.
The name Soleil de sable is French and means "sand sun" or "sun of sand". His color looks like yummy, liquid, sweet honey or caramel.
Check out his pedigree and photos below :)
